Country Care Timeline
1

1997

Rob manufactured a range of chair raisers that you could put onto the bottom of existing chairs to raise them and make them easier to get out of. He had welded some on the bottom of a chair and found it helped him, so thought it could help others. Unfortunately, he soon discovered the market was saturated with similar products. But along the way, he met Geoff Belleville who asked if Rob would be interested in selling some wheelchairs for him in Swan Hill and Mildura. He borrowed a trailer and hit the road visiting hospitals, aged care homes and OT departments.

Rob’s father was suffering from mental health issues so Rob decided to employ him as a travelling salesman, the same way Rob had started in the Mildura area. His father’s mental health improved and the business continued to grow. A few years later, Rob’s sister came on board and they opened the Bendigo store.

2005 – Today

After establishing that Rob and his family team could successfully maintain and manage large scale contracts. Country Care Group continued to grow and receive more and more state contracts, eventually being awarded and entrusted with the national DVA contract. From one tiny little store in Mildura, Country Care Group has now grown to 11 company-owned stores and 70 member stores right around Australia. Country Care Group also has acquired multiple manufacturing businesses, bringing many Australian made products to market.
