History
Country Care Group is a big business with small beginnings.
From humble beginnings, the Country Care Group history is rich in experience and grounded in community and family. Founded from realising the need for mobility support, Founder and CEO Robert Hogan, wanted to ensure assistive products and services for people living with disability and/or injury were accessible, approachable and far reaching, from metro to rural and every town in between.
The Country Care Group timeline maps the remarkable steps one company, one family and an entire team has taken to provide innovative healthcare solutions to a vast community of people.
- Rob manufactured a range of chair raisers that you could put onto the bottom of existing chairs to raise them and make them easier to get out of. He had welded some on the bottom of a chair and found it helped him, so thought it could help others. Unfortunately, he soon discovered the market was saturated with similar products. But along the way, he met Geoff Belleville who asked if Rob would be interested in selling some wheelchairs for him in Swan Hill and Mildura. He borrowed a trailer and hit the road visiting hospitals, aged care homes and OT departments.

Retail Expansion
After a few hard years of work, the business was starting to flourish. Rob’s father started with him as a travelling salesman, the same way Rob had started in the Mildura area and the business continued to grow. A few years later, Rob’s sister came on board and they opened the Bendigo store.
