The 16 individual 5-inch air cells work in a 10-minute cycle in dynamic mode to periodically redistribute pressure, promoting blood flow and reducing the risk of tissue damage. The static mode provides a constant low-pressure surface for patients who may not tolerate a moving surface or during specific care procedures.
The system's Intelligent Pressure Sensing technology is a key component, actively monitoring and adjusting the internal pressure of the mattress in response to patient movement. This ensures that the patient receives consistent and appropriate pressure relief at all times, enhancing comfort and therapeutic effectiveness. The Entrix NX Pump, integral to the system, is lightweight and operates quietly, contributing to a restful environment for the patient.
