The KCare Ultra Ryder stands out due to its advanced construction, featuring a frame made from a combination of carbon fibre and aluminium. This blend ensures both remarkable strength and durability while keeping the chair incredibly light, with a net weight of just 17kg (excluding the 1.8kg battery and any accessories). A key feature is its compact front folding mechanism, which allows the chair to be quickly and easily folded down to a very manageable size (W620mm x D770mm x H320mm when folded). This makes the Ultra Ryder exceptionally easy to transport for family outings, holidays, or for convenient storage in tight spaces.

Designed for versatility, this power chair offers excellent manoeuvrability, making it perfectly suited for navigating indoor environments such as homes and local shops, providing smooth and effortless control for everyday activities. It has a practical maximum speed of 6km/h and can achieve a minimum battery range of 20km on a full charge, though this can vary depending on factors like driving surface, operational habits, battery age, and ambient temperature. The Ultra Ryder is robustly built to accommodate a maximum user weight of 150kg, and it runs on durable solid tyres – 180mm aluminium front wheels and 275mm magnesium rear wheels – ensuring reliable performance.

Comfort, Convenience, and User-Focused Features

User comfort is a priority in the Ultra Ryder's design. It is equipped with front suspension to provide a softer and smoother ride, which enhances both comfort and stability, particularly over uneven surfaces. For ease of transfers, the chair features swing-back armrests, allowing users to move on and off the wheelchair more easily. A comfortable padded seat (410mm wide by 420mm deep) and back support are included. Adding to its convenience, the Ultra Ryder comes with a remote control. This can be utilised by an attendant for assistance or can aid an individual with independent transfers to and from the wheelchair. The width between the armrests is a comfortable 465mm, and the floor-to-seat height is 560mm.
