The Permobil ROHO Single Valve Cushion is an adjustable, air-filled wheelchair cushion designed for skin and soft tissue protection.

Design and Function

The ROHO Single Valve cushion features a cellular design that conforms to an individual's shape. This design is intended to provide skin and soft tissue protection for wheelchair users.

Benefits

This cushion aims to offer an optimal environment for individuals with skin/soft tissue integrity issues. The cellular design and pliable material are designed to allow immersion into the cushion for maximum pressure redistribution and to decrease friction and shear.

Adjustability

The simple adjustment of the cushion allows it to fit the individual's shape, with the aim of minimizing tissue deformation and maximizing blood flow. Adjustments can also be made to accommodate changes in the individual’s position over time.

Smart Sensor Ready

The Mid Profile and High Profile cushions are also available as Sensor Ready, meaning it can be used with a Smart Check device (purchased separately) to monitor and adjust cushion inflation.

Target Users

This cushion is designed to be most effective for individuals who:

have a history of skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or any stage pressure injury (including deep tissue injury), skin grafts, and/or myocutananeous flap surgery.
currently have skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or any stage pressure injury (including deep tissue injury).
may be at risk for skin/soft tissue breakdown and/or deep tissue injury.
have normal or impaired sensation.

Washable: The cushion can be easily cleaned with soap and water, and the cover is machine washable.
Repairable: The flame-resistant, black neoprene cushion can be patched or repaired.
Skin Protection: Utilizes ROHO DRY FLOATATION® Technology to facilitate blood flow by fitting, matching, and tracking the shape of a person.
Shape Fitting: The cellular design conforms and tracks body movements.
Convenience: Postural adjustments can be made while the user is seated.
Smart Sensor Ready: Can be used with a Smart Check device (purchased separately).
