Lowering onto and rising from a toilet places a lot of load through the hips, knees and shoulders, and most bathrooms offer nothing to push up from. The KCare Premium Toilet Support Arms add a sturdy arm on each side of the toilet, giving a secure point to lower yourself down and push back up without reaching for a towel rail, basin or nearby wall.

The arms swing back out of the way when they are not needed. That keeps the toilet accessible for other members of the household, makes side transfers easier for anyone moving across from a wheelchair or shower commode, and means the arms are not an obstacle in a small bathroom.

Each arm is finished with a co-moulded TPE rubber cover, giving a firm, non-slip surface to grip even with wet hands. The mild steel base and aluminium arm supports carry users up to 160kg, and the unit is designed to fit most standard toilets.

Before you buy

Check there is clear space either side of the toilet for the arms, allowing for the 566mm overall width. If the toilet sits in a narrow alcove or hard against a wall or vanity, measure the available width before ordering.

Care and safety

• Wipe clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive or solvent based cleaners.
• Check before each use that the unit is secure and the arms lock correctly in the down position.
• Inspect the arm covers regularly and replace the unit if they become damaged or worn.
• Do not use the arms to take full body weight when standing beside the toilet, and do not exceed the 160kg maximum user weight.
