A new way to help older Australians live safely and independently at home

Support at Home is the Australian Government’s new in-home aged care program, designed to bring together a wide range of services that help older people remain comfortable, safe and connected in their own homes. It replaces the existing Home Care Packages system and introduces a simpler, more flexible approach based on individual needs.

The program includes day-to-day supports, clinical care, assistive technology and home modifications, depending on what a person’s assessment recommends. Every plan is shaped by what helps someone live well — in the place they know best.

At Country Care Group, our role sits within the assistive technology and home modification part of the program. We provide clear information and work closely with allied health professionals to supply safe, appropriate equipment once it has been approved.
