The Translide System is specifically engineered to assist in transferring a client from a wheelchair into a vehicle seat, particularly suitable for those who retain some weight-bearing capability. Beyond just transfers, this versatile system also aids in the precise positioning of a client within a vehicle, or helps them to reposition themselves independently.
Designed for Smooth Manoeuvrability and Comfort
Featuring a smooth, slippery underside on the pad and a corresponding low-friction top cover on the mat, the Translide Set ensures exceptional ease of manoeuvrability. This allows for smooth movement in side-to-side, front-to-back, and rotational directions, enabling exact positioning. The construction incorporates soft foam and a quilt design, prioritising client comfort during the transfer and positioning process.
Practical Features and Maintenance
The pad component includes integrated side handles, which provide carers with additional assistance during stand transfers and when helping with positioning. For added security, an optional rear strap is available on both the mat and pad, allowing them to be twisted and secured to the rear of a chair. The Tech-Assist Translide Mat and Pad are also designed for ease of cleaning, being washable with a medium wash and suitable for drip drying.
